IKEA's October Family Members Sale Features a Ton of Chic Throws

The most common piece of design advice you’ll hear during the fall? Refresh your throw blankets. Some people might tell you that it’ll make your home look brand-new, but we all know that’s not actually true. That said, there is something to this simple decor swap. Accruing a collection of throw blankets you love and then switching them up whenever the mood strikes will keep you from tiring of your space. We also love the fact that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to pull it off.

IKEA is offering a whole range of options at 25% off through October 29 as a part of its sale for IKEA family members. (FYI: It’s free for anyone to join online, so don’t let that part deter you.) Here are our six discounted throws that’ll scratch your itch for a fall refresh.

IKEA continues to add new products to its Mavinn collection, a collaboration with Vietnam-based company Saitex, which employs people with different abilities and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to make home products out of textile waste. In other words, this blanket’s happy striped pattern is only one thing to feel good about.

Consider this option two blankets in one: The cuddly knit, made out of 100% recycled polyester, is a darker shade of blue on the flip side.

While technically a part of the company’s new fall/Halloween-inspired Hostagille assortment, this throw would look just as chic in the spring styled alongside hits of lavender and ruffled pillows.

You’ve heard us talk about the unexpected red theory (to recap: introducing one red item to a space can make it appear more sophisticated), but now it’s time to put it into practice with this $6 fringe number.

Friends who come over for movie night and grab this throw will think you scored it at an antiques shop because of its traditional pattern. You don’t have to tell them you scored it for $15 at IKEA.
